This is the oldest house in the City of Fairfax. It was built in 1812 and the first city-owned building to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places 1973.
Large ditch next to railroad tracks. This image was taken about one year after a fire consumed the ditch which had been filled with dead grass and plants.
Though the puppy is not standing in the snow, this image gives some context, to how deep it was if you notice the shadows around the bottom left-hand corner. There was a pile of snow just off camera that cast a significant shadow.
