Landmark Mall in Alexandria, Va., has been the site of an outdoor carnival with amusements and rides for several years. This photo, taken from a parking lot on the south side of Duke Street, shows the Ferris wheel.
in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia built in 1752 by John Carlyle. The house was considered the headquarters of General Edward Braddock during the French and Indian War.
This is an image of a car that was completely buried by snow in the 2016 blizzard. You can just make out the mirror and a small portion of the body beneath the mirror.
This image was taken from the inside of the reconstructed 16-sided treading barn at George Washington's Mount Vernon. The barn was designed and invented by Washington in 1791 to help process and thresh wheat.
