Rippon Lodge
Dublin Core
Title
Rippon Lodge
Description
This is Rippon Lodge. It was built in 1747 by Richard Blackburn. It is the oldest house that still stands in Virginia. The house was named after Blackburn's place of birth in England, Ripon City. Much of Rippon Lodge's land has been dissolved into "development." Pretty much, most of eastern prince William County has been cut up for development.
I do not remember when I took the picture, but I was with a group of co-workers on a tour approximately three years ago.
