This is a very old, large tree that fell over on power lines near the Potomac River on Rt-15. What is amazing is that the tree did not knock the lines off the pole, but rather the power lines are supporting this tree in mid air!
This tree has been in my front yard since I moved into the house in 1993. It has never really been affected by a storm, but this "phenomenon" of a storm on Friday, June 29, 2012 took half of it down. We were not home at the time, so I am not sure…
