Introduction

This exhibit looks at the original Landmark Center in Alexandria and Hunters Woods Village Center in Reston and what replaced them approximately twenty-five years after each was first built. Each section has four pages that look at the original design and construction, early years of operation, transition and redevelopment, and the current shopping centers.
